The Future of the Amargosa Valley Library

The library staff is working to provide our community with the tools it needs to live a quality life.

Our first step is to provide greens to those who may not have the time or maybe have a black thumb. Our hydroponic garden can grow over 240 plants at one time, and it is free to our residents. 

Our second step through a grant is to provide a soundproof place for you to conduct a Zoom call, study, or think quietly. Our study pod is climate-controlled, has adjustable seating, and is roomy enough for two. It is now available to use.

The third step is an outreach van. We plan to use the van for several programs, but mainly to get items to our community. This includes traditional library items, but it will also include computers, hotspots, and more. Which is coming soon!

This is all coming together as we have been waiting for the clearance from the USDA to start the process of our building expansion. Leslie has been waiting for the go-ahead to start the process of looking for an architect.
